Quaita Mennonne Ethridge Hibner, 92, passed from this life at home on February 4, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Quaita was born to Orville Rice Ethridge and Euphan Ashworth Ethridge on November 12, 1925 in Buffalo Springs, Texas and moved with her family to New Mexico at age six.
She married William Melvin Hibner in 1946 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They started their life together in Estancia, New Mexico where they farmed and had a dairy, later living in Texas, Missouri and finally settling in Clinton, Arkansas. Melvin preceded her in death after 62 years of marriage.
Quaita was a homemaker, farmer and retail store owner. She enjoyed doing all types of handwork, loved flowers and working in her yard and garden. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. Quaita accepted Christ in 1956 and was a long-time member of the Choctaw Church of Christ.
Others preceding her in death were five sisters: Carmen Arledge, Winnie Brown, Thea Prohoroff, Dee Fancher and Kaye Ethridge; Son-in-law, Chuck Heavin; ten brothers-in-law; Kenneth, Donald, Wilmer, Robert and Clarence Hibner, Kenneth Arledge, Pete Prohoroff, Tom Brown, Remmel Fancher and Floyd Scott; three sisters-in-law: Velma Hibner Scott, Lucille Hibner, and Marge Hibner Artman.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Melva Heavin of Sparta, Missouri, Kyle (Anna) Hibner of Waco, Texas, Dane Hibner of Conway, Arkansas, and Debbie (Kyle) Wolfe of Clinton, Arkansas. Six grandchildren: Chris (JoDee) Heavin of Ozark, Missouri, Marc (Dena) Heavin of Ozark, Missouri, Tyler Hibner of Austin, Texas, Todd Hibner of Flower Mound, Texas, Scott Miller of Conway, Arkansas and Andrew (Hilary) Wolfe of Deridder, Louisiana. Seven great-grandchildren: Brody, Emily, Isabella, Elizabeth, Marcus, Nick and Tucker; one brother Hugh (Trinnie) Ethridge; two brothers-in-law: Glenn Hibner and Dub Artman; tow sisters-in-law: Doris and Julie Hibner; numerous nieces and nephews.

Dear Debbie and Family,
I'm so sorry about your mother's passing. I've known her for many years; even when she and your dad worshipped with
the Formosa congregation. They were so faithful.
Your mom was such a nice lady and will be missed by everyone.
May God bless you and your family.

We all loved Gran. My kids and I have such fond memories. She impacted our lives in so many ways. To Garrett and Savanna she was their grandmother and always will be. Her passing is so bittersweet for those of us left behind but glorious for her because we know she is rejoicing right now with so many that have gone before her.
