Joseph Leslie Smith Jr, 72 of Shirley, Arkansas passed away on February 03, 2018 at his brother's home. Joseph was born June 20, 1945 to the late Joseph and Goldie Smith in San Diego, California. He grew up in a home with ten brothers and sisters. Joe spent most of his life as a truck driver, going from this place to that doing what he loved to do. After all that traveling he settled down here in Arkansas, first in Russellville and finally in Shirley where he could be close to several of his family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings; Clara Gatewood, Molly Harris, and James Smith.
Joseph is survived by three brothers; Clarence Smith of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Martin Smith and Bruce Smith both of Shirley, Arkansas, four sisters; Lulu Martin of Shirley, Arkansas, Joe Vivian Seaman of Oregon, Judy Keeton of Van Buren, Arkansas and Christine Davis of Miami, Oklahoma. He left behind many other family members and too many friends to list. Joseph will be greatly missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he left.
