Harold James Clayborn passed away on February 1, 2018 at his home in Hartman, Arkansas, at the age of 86. Harold was born in Stone Hill Community, Arkansas on February 15, 1931. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Marie Clayborn of Hunt, Arkansas, and by his siblings, Amos D. Clayborn, Carroll D. Clayborn, Gladys Sherrill, Arlie Clayborn, Alpha Hopkins, and Mary Elizabeth Hisey.

Harold is survived by his wife of 67 years, Emma (Frederick), his sons Ken (Joan) Clayborn of Elkhart, IN, Rick (Linda) Clayborn of Elkhart, IN, Stan Clayborn of Hartman, and two sisters, Rita Wires of Ozone, and Alene Ihle of Paris. He has five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was a coal miner in his early years. His name is on the Miner's Monument in Altus Town Square. Later, he became a welder and owned his own welding business in Niles, Michigan before relocating back to Arkansas and opening an office cleaning business. After retiring, he and Emma lived in Deer, Arkansas and then moved back to Hartman. Harold was an excellent musician who played the guitar and mandolin. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Hartman.

A celebration of life for Harold's family and friends will be held at a later date.

To Emma and family,
I am saddened by Harold’s passing. He was one of the brothers who studied with me years ago. I look forward to seeing him again in Jehovah’s new world. He was a good man and fine brother.
