George Himes, 85, of Benton passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. He was born January 29, 1932 in Anita, Pennsylvania to the late Lawrence & Reba Himes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Clare.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Himes; son, David Himes (Dana); four brothers, Cal, Art, Larry and Ray Himes; sister, Janice; and two grandchildren, Matt and Mark Himes.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Cliff Springer officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, January 25, at the funeral home.

The Himes family would like to extend a special thank you to staff members and friends at Heartland Rehabilitation and Care Center and Saline Memorial Hospice House.
