Harry Lynn Dumas, 70, of El Dorado, AR, died on December 2, 2017. He was born June 28, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Lee and Marie Dumas, and his step-father, O.R. ''Hamp'' Hampton.
Lynn served his country in the United States Air Force stationed at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, LA; the Island of Crete, Greece as Morse Systems Operator and Radio Operator with top security clearance; Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS and served in the Drum & Bugle Corps; and Kelly AFB in San Antonio, TX. He returned to Union County to work for over 30 years for the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
He is survived by Mary Frances Rister Dumas, his wife of 45 years; his son, Stacy Rister Dumas and wife Ashley Pruitt and their children Greyson Pruitt, Grier Estelle and Gretchen Bailey of Conway; his daughter, Lyndsey Marie Dumas of Little Rock; his brother, Jack William Dumas of Wyoming, son Jeremy Lee Dumas and his wife and child Megean Paige and Hailey Samantha of Valdosta, GA, and daughter Jenifer Ann McClelland of Mississippi. Also survived by sister- and brother-in-law, Linda Rister and Larry David Gaddis, their daughter Emily Rister Gaddis Kocurek, MD, her husband Jared Don and their child Judah David of Little Rock; sister- and brother-in-law Kathryn Rister and William Arnold Alspaugh, and their children Kara Rister, Evan William, and Trey Wilson of Conway.
Lynn was blessed with many life-long friends including George Lee Fennell and Virginia Meador.
Commital Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., December 7, 2017 at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Ave., North Little Rock, Arkansas. My deepest sympathy to the family at the loss of Lynn. We were in high school together and played many years of baseball together at the El Dorado Boys Club. He was a fine man.
Mary Frances, I want to express my deepest sympathies to you and your family. Lynn and I were classmates in high school. I always enjoyed our long visits when he brought your puppy dog in for his regular visits and care. Lynn was a wonderful man and my friend.
Great guy. He and his brother, Jackie are boyhood friends from Marrable Hill Baptist in El Dorado. He will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. Lynn was a kind man who helped many in his days at DHS.
Lynn was such a good person. Last time I saw him and his wife in Walmart he said he had been sick. He will be missed by many.
I worked with Lynn at DHS. So sorry to learn of his passing. He was a good supervisor and a very sweet man. I wish there were more folks like him.
