September 23, 1934 - December 3, 2017

Jacky ''Pop'' Dale Brown, 83, of Mayflower went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2017. He was born September 23, 1934 in Plumerville, AR to the late Cecil and Edith Dodson Brown. Jack was also preceded in death by his wife, Joy Ann Brown, son, Steven Bruce Brown, and brother and sister in law, C.J. and Wanda Brown.

Pop, as he was affectionally known, was a longtime member and served as a Deacon of First Baptist Church of Mayflower. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed hunting, gardening, and most of all attending his children's and grand-children's athletic events. Jack also enjoyed his animal companions, his deer, Baby and his dog, Roscoe. He had a great sense of humor and was a great storyteller who loved telling stories at family gatherings.

Jack is survived by his children, Terry (Theresa), Jeff and Tracy (Dana) Brown, one sister, Janelda Causey (Fred), grandchildren, Chad Brown (Brandi), Brandon Brown (Amanda), Toby Brown, Dustin Brown, Jordan Heckman (Craig), Marine Sgt. Tanner Brown (Katia), Marine Cpl. Dakota Brown, Reagan Mannis, Kerstyn Mannis, Leah Mahnken (Adam), and Jackie Wisniewski (Justin) and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, December 5th at First Baptist Church of Mayflower. Funeral services are at 2pm Wednesday at the church with Jack's grandson, Bro. Toby Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mayflower, AR Building Fund.
