Ermon Edgar Chance, 86, of Beebe passed from this life on Sunday, October 29, 2017. He was born on April 6, 1931 in Mount Vernon, Arkansas to the late Russell C. Chance and Ellen L. Berry Chance. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Jean Chance; and siblings, Cuma Henry, Herman Chance, Emmett Chance, Jerry Chance, and Louise Chance.
Ermon honorably served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1946-1947. He worked for Telatype, Enola Missile Silo, and for many years as a driver for the Ward Bus Company and the Arkansas Highway Department.
He is survived by his wife, Cleo Ivajean Chance; daughter Sylvia Ann Weatherly (Garry L.) of Beebe; granddaughter, Sonya M. Spinks (Andrew V.) of Beebe; great-grandchildren, Autumn N. Spinks of Okinawa, Japan and Andrew M. Spinks, Jr. of Beebe; brother, James C. Chance of Enola; and sister, Marie Anthony of Corpus Christi, TX.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Brown Cemetery in Barney, AR.
