Kathryn Allen Trent

of Conway, AR

August 11, 1925 - October 4, 2017

Kathryn Allen Trent, 92, of Conway, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. She was born August 11, 1925 to the late Clarence B. And Stella (Andrews) Hurst in Jerusalem, AR. Kathryn loved sharing God's word and leading Bible studies for over 50 years including Bible Study Fellowship and Joy of Living. She was a foundering member of Harlan Park Bible Church. Her passion was studying God's word including her collection of Christian books. One of her favorite words was JOY because that is what she found when she made Jesus Christ number one in her heart. When meeting someone for the first time, she would usually ask: are you a believer and what church do you go to? She dearly loved her family. She also enjoyed traveling and painting.

She was blessed to have two loves of her life. The late Ernest J. Allen who she was married for 47 years and then was married for 21 years to the late CW (Bud) Trent. She is predeceased by four brothers and sisters, infant daughter, Carolyn Janiece, and daughter, Linda Jackson of Little Rock. She is survived by daughter, Kay Wiggins (Ted) of Springdale and son, Michael Allen of Conway; grandchildren, Marc Wiggins (Jennifer), Melanie Sprang, Jennifer Whittle (Chris), Timothy Jackson (Magan), Julie Jackson (Borja), Lori Allen (Chris), Scott Allen, Jay Allen; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by CW (Bud) Trent's children, Brad Trent (Sherry), Barry Trent (Susan); grandchildren, Michele Trent Roberts, April Trent Ricketson (Cole), Bryan Trent (Dawne); five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchild.

A celebration of life service will be held at The Summit Church in Conway on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Jerusalem.

The family wishes to thank caregivers, Teresa Merriweather and Brenda Evans for their love and care of Kathryn.

I'm so sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. Loosing a loved one is never easy. I lost my dad in 2010, and my mom in 2012. After my losses, reading Revelation 21:3,4 gave me real comfort. It says: And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I hope reading these verses also give you comfort during this difficult time. GW
