Mr. George Emery Smith, 96, of Weiner entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Born to Thomas and Nora Ann Smith, November 29, 1920 in Weiner, Arkansas, he was a member of Weiner Baptist Church. George served as the manager of the Weiner John Deere Equipment Company for 25 years. He was a Mason, loved hunting, selling worms, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and loved spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Emma Jean (Morgan) Smith; one son: Donald Ray Morgan; one granddaughter: Felicia Morgan; four brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include two sons: James David Morgan of Weiner and Robert Dean Morgan of Corinth, Mississippi; one daughter: Barbara Dunn of Batesville, Arkansas; grandchildren: Keith Morgan, Tyson Dunn, RaeAnn Carter, Randy Morgan, and Christy Castaneda; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, 2:00-3:00 PM, October 6, 2017 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home Weiner with Services at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Weiner, Arkansas

I'm so sorry to hear of George’s passing. Loosing a loved one is never easy. I lost my dad in 2010, and my mom in 2012. After my losses, reading Revelation 21:3,4 gave me real comfort. It says: And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I hope reading these verses also give you comfort during this difficult time. GW

Prayers are going up for the family of George Smith. George and wife, Jean were loving people and they raised a fine family of 3 boys and one girl. God bless all.
