Willie Elmo Marshall, 92, of Conway, AR, passed away, Monday, September 25, 2017. He was born November 19, 1924 to the late Robert and Lillie (Clifton) Marshall. Willie was also preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Marshall; and three sons, Randy, Allen, and Ronnie Marshall.

Willie loved the Arkansas River and loved to fish and up until about 6 years ago he was still going to the deer camp with family and friends. He also loved reading a good western book and singing and listening to Hank Williams.

Willie volunteered and proudly served in the Navy during WWII at the young age of 17.

Willie is survived by his son Stanley Marshall of Conway, AR; daughter, Diann Hoffman and her husband Richard of Vilonia, AR; two grandchildren, Tara Gunter and her husband Mark of Vilonia, AR, and Laci Sweeney and her husband John of Greenbrier, AR; and four great-grandchildren, Zane and Zoie Gunter, and Tinlee and Jack Sweeney.

Our family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice in Conway, AR for the loving care received during this time. In lieu of flowers our family asks that you please consider making a donation to Arkansas Hospice.

A celebration of life service will be a graveside service held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Stoney Point Cemetery in Bigelow.

So many good memories of Willie. I don't think I will ever hear the clang of horseshoes without thoughts of him! I know he will be greatly missed and remembered always. Just know that his memory will live on in many. Thoughts and prayers for the family.
