Ruby Jewell Tilley, age 84 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, September 15th, 2017 at Highland Court in Marshall. She was born in Marshall, Arkansas on June 12th, 1933 to Emery Harrell and Ressie Yancey Harrell.

Ruby was of the Presbyterian faith. She attended Marshall High School. Ruby worked as a waitress at the Chicken Grill in Marshall and then went on to work at Flintrock Shirt Factory. In later years she volunteered at the nursing home in Marshall. Ruby enjoyed gardening and liked to go shopping with her friends.

Survivors include her sisters, Betty Lee (Harrell) McFarlan of Harrison and Edna Elaine (Harrell) Archer of Galt, CA; one grandson, Cody Mathis of Orange Beach, AL; a very special friend, Sandi Lemarr; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family who will also mourn her passing.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Buster Mathis and Arnold Tilley; son, Marcus Everett Mathis; and brother, Benny Dee Harrell.

Funeral services for Ruby will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Kenneth Crow officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery near Marshall. Pallbearers will be Steve McFarlan, Kevin McFarlan, Larry DeRosi, Charles Burleson, James McFarlan and Jim Preddy. Honorary pallbearers will be James Willard Tilley, Eddie Hugh Mathis, Bill Silver, Bob Cypert and Tim Cypert.
