of Cabot, AR

February 4, 1942 - September 7, 2017

Antoine ''Tony'' de Ras, 75, of Cabot, Arkansas went home to the arms of the Lord on Thursday September 7, 2017. He was born February 4, 1942 in Johannesburg, South Africa to Antoine M. and Helena Kleyn de Ras.

Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betsy. He is survived by five daughters, Helen Holland (Bryan) of Sacramento, CA, Lisa Haden (Brian) of Katy, TX, Julie Engelkes (Jonathan) of Greenbrier, AR, Trudy Bennett (Blake) of Cabot, AR and Tiffany Farmer (Mitchell) of Maumelle, AR; three brothers, Eddy de Ras of Pretoria, South Africa, Pieter de Ras of Trafalgar, South Africa, Vincent (Vinnie) de Ras of Cornwall, England; six grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

Throughout over 50 years in Chiropractic practice, his healing hands turned his patients into life-long friends and extended family all drawn in by his warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit. Tony was a strong and loving father to his daughters and a fun Oupa to his grandchildren. His presence in the many lives he has touched will be deeply missed even as we celebrate his life and mourn his passing.

A time of visitation is scheduled Monday, September 11, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home in Little Rock, AR. A rosary vigil will be held immediately following the visitation for those interested in attending.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 6219 Baseline, Little Rock with Father Mark Wood officiating. Godspeed to you, my African-American friend. I will always cherish the stepping stone in my garden which reads, "Love one another." This was the mantra you lived by and everyone you touched was better for having met you. You will be missed.

Trudy, I am so sorry. I can only imagine how much you will miss your dad. He took care of me for over 20 years and always called me young man when I came in. You and your sisters and family are in my prayers. I'll miss Dr. Tony.

I know Dr. Tony touched a lot of people's backs in fifty years, but I'm sure he touched a lot of hearts. So many people were able to have better lives due to Dr. Tony's touch. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. Dr. Steve Matthew

God Bless each of you, I will miss Doc terribly as I know each of you will also. He was quite a guy. Always laughing and happy.
He loved his family and was so proud of each of you. Everry day
he would mention at least one of you. His grandkids were diamonds in his eyes. God Blessed his sweet soul richly and he knew God in a personal way. I've never known anyone that had so many friends and he loved and appreciated each and every one. Thank you for shareing "Doc" with me through these many years. Love Ya, Nana (Nancy Lowry)
