Elwanda (Shaw) Gould, 89 of East End; beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with our Lord on September 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Leland R. Gould; daughter, Linda Kay Gaban; son-in-law Lewis (Corky) Gaban; parents Joshua and Eva Shaw; brothers Girstle Shaw, Ralph Shaw, Verner Shaw and sister Juanita Victory.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Mills (Paul); grandsons Adam Gaban (Joan Abbott) and David (Amanda) Mills; great granddaughter Evelyn ''Evie'' Mills; brother Carl (Jane) Shaw; sister-in-law, Maxine Shaw, a very loving friend, Matt Houston, and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends who loved her dearly.
Elwanda was born in Swifton, Arkansas and was valedictorian of her graduating class. She retired from the Union Pacific Railroad and was a long term member of the Lorance Drive Church of Christ. Elwanda will always be remembered for her sense of humor, love of life, unparalleled kindness and most importantly her unending love of family.
Visitation will be held at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30, Little Rock, AR, 72209, on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 11:00-12:00, service to follow immediately with Brother Jeff Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.

Though I only met her twice, I remember Grandma Gould being a very lovely and vibrant woman. The world is lesser without her.
