Mary Loretta Engdahl Hill, 93, of Vilonia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. She was born November 29, 1923 in Rochelle, TX the daughter of the late D. A. and Iona (Bowling) Roper. Loretta was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Kyle Turner and Charity Engdahl.
Loretta was a very devoted Christian, church member, mother, and grandmother. She was very faithful in her church attendance and passed on her faithfulness to her family. Loretta married V.M. Engdahl on June 14, 1941. They had four children, Melanie, Jerry , Joe, and Sonja. V.M. passed away February 13, 1995, her daughter, Melanie Crawford passed away in May 1995. Loretta remarried in November 1997 to Donald Hill.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Donald Hill, sons, Jerry (Rose) Engdahl, Joe (Charlotte) Engdahl, daughter, Sonja (Kip) Turner, sister, Beatrice Euing, son in law, Wayne (Alma) Crawford, 11 grand-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Friday August 11th at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday at the funeral home with burial following at Naylor Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Salem Place Nursing Home for the special care they gave their mother.
