Dear Glenda and Mike,
I'm saddened by the loss of your mother. She was a role model to all on how to be a strong Christian women, wife and mother. I will always cherish the memories of her making me apart of her family from the very start, sneaking me brownies and her famous chicken and dumplings. I am praying that the Lord gives you strength and understanding during this time.
With all my love,
Misty Rutherford

Dear Freeman Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. As part of my ministry work, I try to offer a brief word of comfort to families who are enduring one of the hardest things any of us will ever have to endure.

As Jesus Christ carried out his earthly ministry, he brought comfort to people in many different ways. For example, he comforted people with “the good news of the kingdom of God (Luke 4:43) and cured people of terrible diseases (Luke 5:12-13).

He also brought great relief to grieving family members by demonstrating that he had the power, AND THE DESIRE to bring their loved ones back to life:

Luke 7:11-15
“…..there was a dead man being carried out, the only son of his mother. …..When the Lord caught sight of her, he was moved with pity for her, and he said to her: “Stop weeping.” …..Then he said: “Young man, I say to you, get up!”  And the dead man sat up and started to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.

So you can hope to see your loved one again during the resurrection! (John 5:28-29)

I hope this note serves as a strengthening aide during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Calvin Cox
