Carlos Davis of Jonesboro, AR passed away on July 26, 2017 at 7:08 am at the age of 89. He was born in Bowman, AR on August 27, 1927 to Warner and Mamie Davis. He was well known as a plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractor for over 50 years in the Jonesboro area. In addition, he was a faithful member of the local congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Foley Davis; daughter, Charlotte (Kenny) Meeker; father and mother, Warner and Mamie; brothers, Ardell and Loyd Davis; and a grandson by marriage, Kyle Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Lavea Davis of the home; two sons, Danny (Fiorina) Davis of Cherry Hill, NJ and Jeremy (Karen) Davis of Paragould; two granddaughters, Emily Meeker of Chicago, IL and Samantha Baker of Jonesboro; as well as four nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services for Carlos have been scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday, August 5, 2017 in the chapel of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro. Chris Simmons will officiate and burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Alan Griffin, Luke Griffin, Tommy Williams, Gerry Waldo, Scott Downum and Leroy Wainwright. Honorary pallbearers will include Bud Dailey, Rick Hansen, Ray Hunt, Bruce Simmons and Kenny Meeker.
Visitation will be 4:30-6:30 pm Friday, August 4, 2017 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. All friends and family are invited to attend.
