I am so sorry for your loss Agnes. I knew you and Mike Archibald as a kid I was Karla Pelton then when Vicky, Becky and Mike ran around together. I always thought they had so much fun together and couldn't wait to be a teenager and experience that for my self. You are in my prayers.

With Sympathy,
Karla Pelton Ramsey

I have a little pair of ceramic bluebirds that Archie always admired when he came to my apartment. Every time I look at those birds, I think of him. We knew each other through mutual friends at the University of Arkansas and lived in Leverett Gardens apartments at the same time. We lost track when I went to grad school in another state. He was a good friend and would always tell me the truth when I needed to hear it. My condolences.

Agnes and Archie's Many Friends:

What a great friend Archie was to me during HS and at the U of A. We had so many laughs and great times over the years. I hate to tell you, Agnes, but we snuck out of your basement more times than I can count, but it was always good clean fun, or to roll someone's lawn!

I was so stunned to learn of your loss and it really hit me hard, but so many great memories rushed into my head. Whether it was at UMY, Archie's house on Crystal Drive, or a local pizza parlor. Not sure if everyone remembers the Night Gallery watch parties we had, but Archie was ALWAYS a staple of those, and driving the streets of Benton and playing music and laughing. Those were simple, but great days.

Clearly, Archie's memory and legacy will live on. I am just so sorry that his life was so short. I have nothing but love for him and I will never forget him!!

I remember 'Archie' from my freshman year @ UofA. He went with me to see 'Psycho' when the movie was shown at the Greek Amphitheater because he didn't want me to go by myself (the movie was too scary). He was a gentle, beautiful soul. I am sorry for your loss.

Archie was my dearest friend for thirty years. He was an original, totally one of a kind and the most generous, kind, amazing person I have ever known. My world is smaller and sadder without him in it. Ms. Agnes, if there is anything I can do for you, please let me. My kids, Hannah and Graham, and I will miss him.

The world was a better place with Archie in it. He made me laugh at life, and to love those that didn't have as much as others. He was so sensitive to folks with disabilities, and advocated for their rights. He was a good friend that always knew when others needed a boost. I all ready miss him. He was definitely one of the good guys. I am so blessed to have known him. God be with you Mrs. Archibald.

Archie was the closest thing I had to a brother growing up.
Agnes and Dad Archie and my parents, Raymond and Shirley Evans didnt worry much when our crew was together.... Becky Rowland, Melinda Stanley, Cindy and Bob Middleton....or maybe they DID! Arch didn't have much of a sense of direction and sometime he would take a wrong turn but we would eventually make it home by 10 0'clock!! Precious memories of our First Methodist UMY youth group and the NOW Singers.... Arch couldnt carry a tune in a bucket but he was up there in the back row singing away.
I could write a ton of memories... I loved him so much and sadly we had lost touch over the years after I married and moved away, but I got a Christmas card every year. He will foever hold a place in my heart.
Much love to Agnes and the family in Memphis.
