Grady Dennis Tharp, 59 was born to Stanley and Doris Tharp on September 4, 1957 in Dimmit, Texas and passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his home in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Dennis worked on and off as a heavy equipment operator in the pipeline industry for fifteen years. The rest of his career was spent as an automotive technician. He spent most of his free time out in the shop with his kids (and later with his grandkids) teaching them about a little bit of everything. He also enjoyed growing a garden to relax and provide fresh produce for his family. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tonie Tharp, his mother and father Stanley and Doris Tharp of Searcy, one son Jeremy Tharp (Chasity) of Pangburn; three daughters Martha Hatfield (Keith) of Pangburn, Tasha Lindsey (Dustin) of Greers Ferry, Mande Herekamp (Matt) of Batesville; ten grandchildren Austin Beede, Tabitha Tharp, Kaitlen Beede, Bradley Tharp, Roy Womack, Lily Womack, Madison Hatfield, Laiden Lindsey, Dylan Herekamp and Sharisa Herekamp; one sister Kim Knapp (Mike) of Prim; two brothers Gary Tharp (Sharon) of Vilionia, Jim Tharp (Melanie) of Orange Park, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be Friday, July 7, 2017 10:00 AM at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy with Brother John Cates officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Kensett Cemetery in Kensett.
