Priscilla Warner Messenger

of Little Rock, AR

October 25, 1964 - June 15, 2017

Priscilla ''Prissy'' Warner Messenger, 52, of Little Rock passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 15, 2017.

She was born October 25, 1964 in Little Rock to Joy Brewer Warner and Evatt Warner, Sr.

Prissy loved her family above all else in life. She enjoyed laughing and making people happy. Many fur friends found a loving home thanks to her generosity. Some people may enjoy knowing that Priscilla was a cheerleader during high school, and one of her dearly-loved gifts was a life-sized cutout of Elvis!

She worked over 33 years for Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, most recently being promoted to the role of Supervisor of CSW Configuration and Support.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Many are trying to understand how life will go on without her: her husband, Robert Franklin Messenger; children: Robert Lee Messenger of Pensacola, Florida, Ryan Knight of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and Resa Messenger of Little Rock; three grandchildren: Jasmine Nicole Messenger, Robert Aiden Messenger, and Rilyn Andrew Messenger; siblings: Brenda Thompson, Linda Ward, Evatt Warner, and Troy Warner of Little Rock; lots of nieces and nephews; coworkers at Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield; and many other friends.

To honor Priscilla's memory and passion for pets, please consider a donation to a humane society or animal shelter of your choice.

The memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at Brenda's home from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. following the memorial service.

My deepest sympathy to her family. I have had the honor and privilege working with Priscilla and depended on her knowledge so much. She was always so helpful and took the time to explain things if you didn't understand something. Priscilla was loved by so many people and she will be missed so much! She talked about her family all the time and it was so obvious the love she had for everyone. She touched everyone's life that she came into contact with. Our area will never be the same without her.

Priscilla was wonderful to work with, I have known her for several years and have enjoyed every one of them, she always had a smile on her face and a can do attitude. Everyone loved working with her. She leaves a large hole in our work family and will be missed so very much. Praying for her family to receive peace and comfort for their loss.

First, my deepest condolences to Priscilla's family. I know you all loved her very much because her work family at Blue Cross loved her very much as well.
A few years back, I was working on a project and needed Priscilla's assistance. She was always available and glad to help. She took her time explaining things and most importantly didn't give me too hard of a time when I always had to come back for additional help. :-)
Last Tuesday on the 13th, I was fortunate enough to be in the office when her husband and beautiful daughter stopped by. Of course, in true Priscilla fashion, she was walking the two of them around to meet everyone. I was on the phone when she first came by but when she took the time to come back by a 2nd time, I was somewhat impressed. I'm pretty certain tho, it had nothing to do with her family meeting me but had everything to do with me meeting her family.
I will miss Priscilla for many different reasons and one is hearing her laugh. It always sounded like a machine gun going off to me but that is what made it so cute and unique just like Priscilla.

I was blessed to get to work directly with Priscilla early in my career at Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was my Unit Leader and taught me many things. She was smart, funny, caring and determined. She had a way of making you smile when you were having a bad day and had an infectious laugh. I am so sorry for your loss and pray God gives you strength and comfort during the days and weeks ahead. I know you have many wonderful memories that you will forever hold in your heart. I was supposed to take care of my baby sister (who, by the way, was ALWAYS stronger than me) it's the natural order of things, the oldest takes care of the youngest. they say God has a plan, they also say He always takes the good ones...I wanna know just who THEY are, and why are THEY always right. I promised you before that I got your back, but I'll always have you in my heart

I was very saddened to hear of Pricilla's passing. She was beautiful and very bright and I loved to hear her laugh. I would always call her "Cilla", like Elvis and her reply was always, " Thank ya, thank ya very much"! I worked with her for many years at ABCBS. Such a sweetheart and I know she will be missed by all who knew her.
God will give this Family the strength they will need for the following days ahead

Good night "Cilla". Love you much! Janie

Bobby, I am so thankful that you came into Priscilla’s life and fulfilled her dream of having a true partner. Ryan and Resa, I got to share in your Mom’s excitement and joy before and after you both joined her life. She was so proud of both of you and could not help having a huge smile on her face when she talked about you, which was often. Brenda and Linda, seeing you guys together and from many conversations with Priscilla she cherished having you both as her big sisters. My heart aches for each of you and I pray that the huge hole left in your lives is filled with the many happy memories you have of her and the knowledge that you will see her again. She will be cheering you all on from above.
I had the privilege of working with Priscilla for over 30 years. At different stages of our careers our paths went separate ways but we always ended up back together. I will ever be thankful for our friendship, her encouragement, advice and her tolerating a big bear hug - occasionally. I smile now at the thought of that look that said ‘you know not everyone can get away with doing that’. I will miss her tremendously as will many of our colleagues.

Priscilla and I worked together at Blue Cross. We would often eat lunch together and in those times we would laugh and enjoy each other company. In the short time we had together I noticed that she had the most giving and kindest heart. She always had a smile on her face.
I will miss her at lunch as well being around her. Sending love and prayers to the family in the days ahead.
