Ermel (Altom) Rutledge, 95, of Hutchinson Mountain died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born July 28, 1921, in Hutchinson Mountain, she was the daughter of John Grady Altom and Irene Hays Altom.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Mark Rutledge (Karen) of Hutchinson Mountain; stepson, Keith Rutledge (Nancy) of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter Mary McGinty (Carl) of Hutchinson Mountain; stepdaughters, Ann Suchecki (Ted) of Lompoc, California and Martha Rae Barnes of Virginia; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and her dog, Hammy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Les Rutledge; infant son, Edward; brothers, Ernest Altom and Doris Altom.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017, in Palestine Cemetery at Hutchinson Mountain under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and friends.

To the Family. SO sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Ermel has the prospect of being resurrected (in the flesh) to Paradise Earth as God has promised.
