Paul Wayne Austin, 52, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born March 29, 1965 at Minot Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota to Billy and Mary Austin. Paul received his BS in Information Technology (IT) from Arkansas State University. He worked for 15 years with the State of Arkansas, Department of Health, responsible for computers and networks at clinics across North East Arkansas. Paul was a true gearhead and movie buff and would often spend his free time working on technical problems while TCM played in the background.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Paul is survived by his brother Terry of Jonesboro; uncles, aunts and many cousins as well as countless friends and other loved ones, many of whom knew him simply as JP or ''Just Paul''.
All services will be private.

I just learned of Paul's passing. We worked together for 4 years at Fruit of the Loom. He was a great guy. I'm so sorry to hear of this.

I was so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. We were co-workers at Ark Dept of Health for 15 years or so and shared an office for several of those years Paul was always asking about my family and was so helpful in so many ways. He will be sorely missed.

I am still in shock over Paul's passing. I worked with him at ADH. He was an awesome person and friend. Anything you needed help with your computer her was either there to fix it or helped you over the phone. He helped me lots of times and was considered more that a coworker, he was a friend!! He always asked me about my girls and grandkids!! Even though I retired almost 3 years ago I always thought of him, he took care of everyone!!! RIP my friend Paul, you will never be forgotten!!!
