Michael Bennett Flemon, 63, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born February 3, 1954 in Jonesboro to Dan and Ara Bennett Flemon.
Michael worked as a machinist at Dana Corporation for many years and then drove for Saia and Old Dominion Truck lines. He attended Bono Church of Christ. Mike loved motorcycles, going to the lake, cooking for everyone and visiting with family and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, C.H., Barry, Richard and infant, Gary.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Flemon; son, Derek (Martie) Flemon of North Pole, Alaska; daughter, Mallory (Schuyler) Broadaway of Jonesboro; granddaughter, Taylor Flemon of North Pole, Alaska; brothers, Bill Flemon, Danny Flemon and Mark Flemon; sisters, Joyce Taylor and Loyce Morgan all of Jonesboro.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, May 28, at Roller-Farmers Union, at 4:00pm with Richard Akins officiating. Visitation will precede the service at the funeral home from 2:00pm until service time.
The family wishes to thank all of Mike's nurses and doctors at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Treece, Dr. Criner, Dr. McCasland, Dr. Hubbard, Dr. Adam Woodruff and Dr. Patel at NEA and to Dr. Li, Dr. Despotovic, Dr. Lee and Dr. Vogel at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

So sorry to hear this. Mike was a good friend years ago. When we worked at McDonalds he was know as wimpy the hamburger man. What a good sport he was.
