Dorothy Mae Green, age 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in Mountain Home. She was born October 12, 1926 near Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Paul and Christine (Steward) Montague. She married Loy Green on July 5, 1946 in Corning, Arkansas.
Dorothy was the World's Best Cook and Baker, being renown for fried chicken, cream puffs and coconut crème pie. She was a seamstress and water-color artist. She was a blue-ribbon winner many times for crochet and artwork at the prestigious Sandwich Fair in Sandwich, Illinois. Dorothy was a busy homemaker who raised five children.
Dorothy is survived by two sons: Larry (Nancy Ensor) Green of Sheridan, Illinois and Jeff Green of Maple Park, Illinois, by three daughters: Cathleen Phillips of Lakeview, Arkansas, Ginger (Robert) Turk of Midway, Arkansas and Holly (Danny) Arnold of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee, by 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, by one sister, Mary Davis of Cookeville, Tennessee and one brother, Vernon Montague of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Christine Montague, her husband, Loy Green, one sister, Martha Montague and two brothers: Jim Montague and Don Montague.
Services are private. Inurnment will be at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee.

Great Grandma Green will be missed. For the time I knew her she was a sweet, kind woman. Love you Great Grandma, you're in a better place now.

I love u grandma now you can spend your days with grandpa again and watch over all of us. Me n lil bubba bird watch every morning just like u and used too. The kids and I love u. Such an amazing lady that taught me so many things in life. I was truely blessed to have a grandmother like u!
