Jennie ''Lou'' Harter, age 56, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at her home. Ms. Harter was born June 28, 1960 in Helena to the late Olien and Peggy Travis. Ms. Harter loved her family, immediate and extended, and she also had a love for plants.

She is survived by two sons, Jerimie J. Harter (Rebecca) and Travis E. Harter, both of Tullos, Louisiana; two daughters, Natasha Newsom (Brian Manues) of Lexa and Cheraco Harter of Tullos, Louisiana; six grandchildren; one sister, Jackie Reeder (Mike) of Cabot; and her former husband, Tommy Harter of Tullos, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.

A memorial service for Jennie Harter will be held at a later date by the family.

Natasha, I am so sorry for your loss, as my Mother passed away 2 years ago on Mother's Day. You will always miss her, as there is nothing like being able to talk to your Mother. Will have you in my thoughts and prayers.

I've Known Lou for as long as I've Known Tasha; A long time. Sweet Lou. Gone too soon! Justin and Tasha My heart is Heavy for you. And for the others Kids and Grandkids too. It makes me smile looking at the pics Tasha has of Lou when the newest baby was born. So glad she got to be a part of that happiness. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Lou. She was Good people.
