Mary E. Keene, 94, of Sherwood, passed away March 5, 2017. She was born July 27, 1922 to Aaron and Eleanor Knox in Clemson, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, George W. Keene, Sr.; son, George W. Keene, Jr.; daughter, Mary Anne Mores; siblings, Aaron Rea Knox, Jr., Ethel Knox Kellahan, and Martha Ann Steele.
She attended the College of Charleston, and graduated from the McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing in Florence, SC. She worked as a registered nurse. Mary was a member of Trinity Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Sherwood.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marsha Keene of Cabot; granddaughter, Tiffany Lynn Keene of Sherwood; grandson, Robert Cody Keene of Sherwood; and great-grandson, Jacob Douglas Deputy Keene of Sherwood; eight nephews and three nieces.
Private burial at Little Rock National Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, AR 72116 (501-791-7400).
