William (Billy) Albert Powers of Conway, Arkansas died Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Billy was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 1, 1948 to Richard and Susan Powers.
Billy was a talented baseball enthusiast, and enjoyed sports and the outdoors. He was a valued property caretaker, being especially skilled in the garden. He was a Vietnam veteran.
Billy was preceded by his father, his brother Richard, and his sister Sylvia. He is survived by his mother Susan in Vancouver, Canada. He will remain close to her heart, forever and always.
He has a large extended family in Canada and England. Our Billy will be remembered and loved.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Conway Regional Medical Center and at River Valley Medical Center for their efforts and care. The family also thanks Billy's friends and other care providers in Conway.
The Military Graveside Service is at 11:00 am Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock.
