Lloyd Ray Nichols, Jr., 47 of Lamar, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017. Lloyd was born March 30, 1969 in Dardanelle to Mr. Lloyd Ray, Sr. and Angie May (Standridge) Nichols. Lloyd loved playing horseshoes, he was a member of the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association; he also enjoyed reading, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Ray Nichols, Sr. and one brother in law, Keith Hayes.
Mr. Nichols is survived by his mother, Angie May (Standridge) Nichols of Morrilton; his loving girlfriend of 14 years, Audrey Tumbleson; step-daughter, Tiffany (Wayne) Rye of Hartman; four grandchildren, Jillyan JaNay Holcomb, Johnathon David Rye, Charles Cole Rye, and Daniel Kane Rye; two sisters, Wendy Hayes of Russellville, and Carolyn (Matt) Moreland of Lamar; two brothers, Roy Nichols of Russellville, and Jerry (Elizabeth) Nichols of Lamar; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Amanda Holman officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie's Chapel Cemetery, with Jerry Nichols, Joseph Nichols, Seth Nichols, Peanut Clark, Steve Curtis, and Glenn Chavers serving as pallbears. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Curtis and David Curtis.
