Brian Mulkerins

of Conway, AR

May 2, 1963 - February 1, 2017

Brian Mulkerins of Conway went home to be with The Lord on February 1, 2017. Brian was born in New York City on May 2, 1963 to Kathleen and the late James Mulkerins, of Ireland. He is survived by wife Stephanie, daughters Georgia and Brianna, son Kadin, mother Kathleen, sisters Molly (Allen) of NJ, Ann Marie and brother Jim of England, niece Christina and nephew James Lovey (NJ), and a host of family and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his father and brother Vincent Mulkerins.

Brian was one of a kind. His accent was a unique subject he enjoyed having others guess the origin of. In truth, it was as colorful and varied as his life was, with his early years spent in New York City, followed by 22 years in London interspersed with summers spent working on the family's farm in Ireland.

Brian was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church where he was involved in Men of Faith and the EDGE youth group. He enjoyed a 32 year career at Acxiom, retiring in 2013. His work ethic was impeccable, outshined only by his love of family and friends.

Above all, Brian was an amazing husband and father who loved, adored and cherished his family every day. Brian gave selflessly, lovingly and unconditionally. He is greatly loved and will be missed by all until we meet again.

Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with visitation following. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Serving as Celebrants will be Father John Marconi and Father Tony Robbins. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Kadin Wells, Jim Mulkerins, Allen Lovey, James Lovey, Nick Rush, Brandon Rush, Joe Rodriguez, John Berry, David Moix, Rafael Soto, Keith Gregory, Steve Richter, Kenny Wood, J.D. Castleberry, and Kevin Zaffaroni.

In lieu of flowers, and in appreciation of all those who loved and cared for Brian, the family requests memorials be made to Conway Regional Health Foundation 2302 College Ave, Conway, AR 72034 or St. Joseph Parish, 1115 College Ave, Conway, AR 72032.

We sorted the world's problems and drank pubs dry.
That's what we did - The Bear and I.
His sad passing, I'll always regret.
But I'll treasure forever the day we met.

The Big Man is gone and a void ensues.
We must celebrate his life to beat the blues.
Heartfelt thanks to Steph for her loving care
Because she is the angel of my friend the Bear.

Love from Dave, Marie and all at Felixstowe

Like so many of us at Conway Regional, I was so very saddened to hear of Brian's passing. Brian was such a special person. His sense of humor was so dry and wonderful- what a funny guy! Brian, Stephanie and their family feel like family members to me, and I love you all. May God 's Peace Be With You.

A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORDforever.

I first met Brian when he joined Acxiom as a youngster in London. I admired his stellar career progression and enjoyed his company socially on many occasions over the years.
Everyone loved Brian, he had no enemies. A gentle giant of a man who will be sorely missed by anyone who knew him.
Brian had his own 'nickname' for me. Rest in peace big fella.

We each have to work through the loss of a loved one in our own time and in our way. We hope your time in sorrowful mourning is short and you way is one of wonderful memories.

There is an old Irish saying that goes something like this;

May you be in heaven a full half-hour before the devil knows you're gone.

Rest in Peace
