Dear Virginia and Family,

I was saddened to read Joe's obituary in the Batesville Guard. I have such wonderful memories of Joe and you and all the Rodgers Family members that would attend the annual Gray Family Reunion each June in Batesville. Joe was a prince of a guy. He will be greatly missed. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
Sincerely, Robert Ford, Jr.

I grew up going to school in Sidney when Joe and Bee did. I remember when their parents had the store in Sidney and it was one of our favorite places to go. My parents and Virginia and Buren were good friends. I am so sorry for the loss. Watched the video and loved seeing the pictures of him down thru the years. May the Lord be with you during this very difficult time. Patsy White from 169 Brewer Road just out of Sidney.

The Lefler family was blessed that Joe rented a home next door to us when he moved to Clinton, becoming life long friends of the entire clan. Joe was one of the very first highly successful businessman I watched and admired along with all the fun we had with the family. Always a smile, always encouraging to everyone, what a legacy he created. Blessings to the family.

My heart is heavy as I think of you all. When my dad was in the hospital Joe T called me almost every day to get an update. He was always worried that he was bothering me but his concern was very comforting. I thought it was a kind and thoughtful gesture that I will always remember. We are so very sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time and the days ahead.
