Joe David Tipton, Sr., 74, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Tipton was born July 24, 1942 at Waynesboro, Tennessee to the late Clarence H. Tipton and Willie Mae Gracie. He was a carpenter.
Mr. Tipton is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Frances Mitchell Tipton; son, Joe Tipton, Jr. (Dawnie) of Helena, Arkansas; daughter, Mims Dunne of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Hunter Dunne of Little Rock, Arkansas, Katelyn Dunne of Arkadelphia, Jada Cagle, Tabitha Cagle, Kassie Tipton and Brodie Tipton all of West Helena; twin sister, Joanne Tipton of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul and Robert Tipton.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena.
Visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 2:00 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Brother Adam Rowland will officiate.
Pallbearers are Hunter Dunne, Everett Mitchell, Clint Moneymaker, Luther Mitchell, Jr., Jarred Jarrett and Charlie Smith.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena (870) 572-2571.
