Jewell "Lucille" Wood was born June 20, 1923 in Rose Bud Arkansas. She died January 11, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was 93 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents : Tom and Vera Gillham of Beebe, Arkansas, brothers Joe, Johnny and Carthel Gillham all of Beebe and sister Bess Dugger of West Memphis and husband Ray Wood of Springhill, Arkansas.
Survivors are a brother Jim (Martha) Gillham of Vilonia,a sister Mickey Risk of Jacksonville, Arkansas and daughter Judy Stockrahm and son-in-law Dean Stockrahm of Conway and many nieces and nephews.
She spent her life raising gardens, cooking and sewing. She enjoyed music, doing word searches and watching soap operas, ice cream and being with her family. She spent the last 6 years in nursing facilities due to health reasons and she and her family made many great friends this way. The family wishes to thank Colonel Glen Nursing facility of Little Rock and also Baptist Hospital of Little Rock for the care they've given her.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday January 14, at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with the Reverend Greg Crumley officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron cemetery in Joy, Arkansas.
Visitation will start at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday prior to the service. The Pallbearers will be Britt Stockrahm, Jay Rhodes, Max Garrett, Trevor Torgerson, Avery Torgerson and Chance Wilson
Our hearts are with each one of you as you go through this deeply saddening time. And we pray that God sends his comforter to embrace each of you and give you strength to face that days, weeks and months yet to come.
