Betty Jane Forst, 87, a resident of Paris passed away Friday, November 18, 2016, in Fort Smith.
She was born August 14, 1929, in Paris to the late Casper and Mary (Otten) Nehus. Betty Jane married Adolph Bernard Forst on January 11, 1951 in Texas. She devoted her life to her family, her cats and Polly the parrot. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger; a son-in-law, Bill LaRue; eight brothers, Bill and his wife, Ocie, Paulie and his wife, Lou Ella, Emil and his wife, Coot, Sonny and his wife, Jane, Frank and his wife, Mildred, Bob and his wife, Catherine, Chalkie and his first wife, Pat and Leonard and his wife, Lorine; a sister, Gertrude ''Dokie''.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Adolph Forst of Paris; five sons, Michael and his wife, Barbara, Gary of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Randy of Little Rock, Dolph of Paris and Steve and his wife, Rhonda of Charleston; five daughters, Marietta Lentsch and her husband, Jim of Charleston, Patty Hixson and her husband, Ricky of Paris, Beth LaRue of Snyder, Texas, Donna Earl and her husband, Mike of Branch and Lorrie Casey and her husband, Brian; and two daughters-in-law, Glenda Forst and Missy Mertin.
Eighteen grandchildren, Nathan, Jason, Amber, Jessica, Michael John and his wife, Bre, Taylor, Billy Joe and his wife, DeAnna, Penny and her husband, Cody, Jessica and her husband, Sky, Carrie and her husband Kipp, McKennah, Kailee, Lauren, Logan, Brianna, Kalen, Alyssa, Tory and Trista.
Fifteen great grandchildren, Brailey, Haylee, Carter, Keira, Ashlyn, Kaitlyn, Cason, Cash, Tripp, Twister, Russell, Wes, Rory, Brilea and Mya and a sister-in-law, Ann Nehus.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Rosary service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
The memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Eugene Luke, O.S.B. and Deacon Tom Pohlmeier officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mrs Forst personally but I have been fortunate to know some of her children. As your children are a reflection of yourself she must have been a very awesome lady.
