Shirley Ann Greenwood, 81, of Damascus, went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness, Sunday, November 13, 2016. She was born March 6, 1935 in Damascus, AR to the late Garner F. and Floy (Parish) Dollar. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Greenwood and one son, Michael Edwards.
Shirley was a good Christian lady and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Damascus. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Shirley will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Debbie Diemer (Warren) of Greenbrier, AR and Ledawn Hall of Damascus, AR, two sons, Keith Edwards (Stephanie) of Mabelvale, AR and Mark Greenwood (Tamara) of Benton, AR, two brothers, Gerald Dollar (Marie) of Damascus, AR and Gary Dollar (Linda) of Damascus, AR, eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, many cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 16th at First Baptist Church of Damascus, with Bro. Daniel Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Mountain Cemetery in Damascus. Serving as pallbearers are Shirley's grandsons, Patrick Linn, Nicholas Diemer, Zac Edwards, Daniel Greenwood, David Greenwood, Cory Castleberry and Dillon Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Minden, Matt McMoran, and Eric Ellis.
