James Ed,

I am so sorry for your loss. Carolyn will always have a special place in our heart. I appreciate how loving and caring she was for our UCA students. She treated them as if they were family. And she treated our own kids, Jessica and Bryce, the same way. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Momma Carolyn meant a lot to so many people. I have so many memories of spending time with her while I was growing up on the UCA campus. She even went to Fort Smith with us for a State Softball Tournament when I was in high school and promised all of us girls five dollars to whomever made a home run. We nearly broke her that weekend.
Momma Carolyn was like a 2nd mom to me and she'll be greatly missed. Momma Carolyn gave you her time, her heart and anything else she thought you needed, she always had a smile and made you feel good.

I love you Momma Carolyn go rest with the angels now.

I have never met anyone who cared so much for so many...You were not only my cousin but one of my best friends, always there.. when my parents passed, when my brother passed, when all of my babies were born there was someone coming through the door with flowers from you. My heart is heavy but I am so grateful that you are in a place where you can breathe without trouble, you can walk without stopping and you can laugh with all those that have gone before us. Until we meet again your place in my heart will remain strong.

James Ed, so sorry for the earthly loss of your wife. I never knew your wife or her name and wondered when I read it if it could be. It didn't say James Ed and that threw me, till I read Linda's post. Prayers coming your way as you walk through these days.

Carolyn will truly be missed. She was a special friend and fit the phrase "dorm mom." All of us knew how much she loved us and that she was there for us any time day or night. Heaven is a little sweeter with our much loved Mrs. Smith. I will never forget her.
