Jessielene Smart, age 90, of McRae, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Sherwood, Arkansas. Mrs. Smart was born November 22, 1925 at Marvell, Arkansas to the late Marion and Margret Wells. She was a member of First Baptist Church of McRae.
She is survived by her son, Mike Smart (Cindy) of Walls, Mississippi; daughter, Gayle Akers (Chris) of Cabot; six grandchildren, Meghan Smart, Tyler Smart, Tanner Smart, Cole Traylor, Reese Traylor and Laura Beth Ward; four great-grandchildren, Madalyn Hayes, Emery Smart, Addison Traylor and Gabriella Ward; two sisters, Bobbie Russell of Marvell and Jane Crawford of Lambert, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Smart was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert D. Smart; two brothers, Jack Wells and William B. Wells; and one sister, Marjorie Russell.
A graveside service for Jessielene Smart will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Turner Cemetery in Turner, Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Brother Mac Davis will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers are Todd Russell, Reese Traylor, Larry Smart, Tyler Smart, Tanner Smart and Cole Traylor.
Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to First Baptist Church of McRae, 703 E 2nd St, McRae, AR 72102.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

Jessielene was such a dear lady. I worked with her back in the early 80's. I have thought about her often, and wondered where she was. So very sorry to see hear this!
