Lorn Eugene Fletcher, 85 of Onia passed away September 27, 2016 at his home. He was born June 25, 1931 to Ulis and Bonnie (Lawrence) Fletcher. Lorn was retired from the US Forest Service. He enjoyed riding horses and being outdoors.
Lorn claimed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour as a teenager. Leonard Lee was an important influence on Lorn's life at that time. He thought so much of Leonard and spoke about him often as a man of great faith. Lorn honored God as his creator and guide throughout his life and trusted the Lord to secure a place for him in his eternal home.
Lorn is survived by his wife, Karen Sims Fletcher; one son, Randy Fletcher; one daughter, Janice Fletcher Acklin and husband Doyle; one stepson, Ty Sims and wife Sarah; three sisters, Eathel Mae Fletcher Lawrence, Ethel Faye Fletcher Blake, Jeraldine Fletcher Mitchell; six grandchildren, Lacie Audeoud, Shawnia Fletcher, Robbie Fletcher, Darcie King, Jett Sims, Kensi Sims, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one on the way, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Lorn was preceded in death by his first wife, Mona Faye (Brewer) Fletcher; parents, Ulis and Bonnie Fletcher; brothers, Afton and Albert Fletcher and two infant brothers and one infant sister.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Roller Coffman Chapel with Donnie Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in Pordue Cemetery at Onia Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Robert Audeoud, Mike King, Dalton Audeoud, Ty Sims, Lewis Caston, David Mitchell, Levi King, Clayton King, and Jett Sims.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Lawrence, Steve Granberry, Robbie Fletcher, Jerry Fletcher, Lexie Audeoud, Mallory Burns, Morgan Kellams, Mavery Boswell, Rya Fletcher, and Kensi Sims.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Big Flat Senior Activity Center P.O. Box 132 Big Flat, AR 72617 or Hospice of North Arkansas 330 Highway 5N. Suite 2D Bradford Sq. Mountain Home, AR 72653.

SORRY ABOUT YOUR LOSS. HE WILL BE MISSED.
Lorn and Mona Faye were the best neighbors ever. Both were giving and kind and always willing to help me out. Randy and Janice... I know you will feel lost for a time but you should take pride in the wonderful parents you had and the heritage they left you.
Karen, I am glad you came into Lorn's life. You provided love and companionship. Thank you for caring for him . I am only now hearing of this. I would have come down. I enjoyed our last visit.
May God bless you all and smile when you think of Lorn...a truly good man.
You will be so missed. You were a great inspiration to all who knew you.
