Robert, Tom, Kelley and Holly. Your mother was always at least half the reason that I loved visiting the Hill home all those years ago. She was beautiful and kind and incredibly tolerant of 1960-70's teenagers. She was very funny. And she was as mystical as she was magical. Last year while visiting my mother, our friend, Dena (Carpenter) took me to pay Ms Hill a visit. It had been at least 40 years since I saw her last. And She remembered even the moments of our lives that I had forgotten. For a couple couple of hours again, I was 16 and I could see Mary Hill whipping about her house singing and making sure that all was well and leaving me dizzy from just trying to predict what she might do next. I told her how my visit was bringing back so many wonderful memories. After I finished, she said, "I was a real kick, wasn't I?"

Without a doubt she still was.

I am so glad that I knew her. My thoughts are with you all.

I cannot begin to say how very sorry I am for your loss, Tommy, Robert, Kelly, and Holly. Your mother was so kind to so many kids like me growing up who will never forget her smiling face and tolerance of all things kiddie! She even let our band make a lot of noise in her basement all those times.

Please know that, as I have known you all and your dear mother for all of my life, I, too. grieve her passing and your loss. I regret that I cannot be there in person to hug you all and show my deep and profound love and respect for your sweet mother and for all of you. My thoughts, prayers, and heart are with you now.

May God continue to bless you all.
