Gordon ''Gordy'' Warren Peterson, 74, of Jonesboro, passed away at his home. He was born November 28,1941, at Duluth, Minnesota, to Rudy & Lois (Pederson) Peterson. He had served in the US Army, and had been an auto body repairman at Jelks. He was of the Lutheran belief, and enjoyed classic cars and spending time with friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Gilbert Peterson; and his son, Gordon ''Pete'' Warren Peterson, Jr.

He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Grafmyre, of Jonesboro; three sisters, Donna Wilson, Darlene Dower, and Sue Woods; his brother-in-law and best friend, Donny Gilbert; his stepson, Dennis Bruce; two grandchildren, James Thomas (Kristen) Grafmyre, and Darryl Robert Grafmyre; and one great-grandchild, Lepley Blake Grafmyre.

There will be a graveside service Wednesday, September 21, at 1:00pm at Pine Hill Cemetery, near Craighead Forest Park.
