Doris Maellen Epperson 87 of Maumelle, Arkansas went to be with our Lord and Savior, September 9, 2016. She was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on April 2, 1929 to Thomas Earl and Rachel Mae Weir. She was a member of The Summit Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Morris Epperson, parents, six brothers, Norman, Max, Thomas, Howard, Richard, and Lynn, four sisters, Earline, Eutha, Mildred, and Wilma Allis.

Maellen leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Gary Epperson of Maumelle; and Joel Epperson, (Lora) of Conway; two daughters, Cathy Nabholz (Jerry) of Conway; and Becky Hudson (Marc) of Maumelle; nine grandchildren, Kathryn Epperson, Kristi Epperson, Jesse Nabholz (Carrie), Zachary Nabholz, Tony Nabholz, Joseph Epperson (Brittany), Leah Horton (Nick), Mary Hawkins (Hunter), and Rachel Hudson, three great-grandchildren, August Nabholz, Asher Nabholz, and Olivia Epperson.

Maellen was the wife of an Air Force pilot, moving a young family to ten different duty stations with two overseas assignments.

Becky and Joel,

So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing.

The video was very touching to watch.

I remember meeting your mother and father back in 71 when you all moved to Conway.

What wonderful parents you were blessed with to love and guide you through your lives.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Peace//love//kindness

Dear Joel, Gary, Becky and Cathy, and all of your wonderful Families, I wish I could express what a wonderful Godly example your Mother was to me. I'll always cherish her friendship and Sunday School teaching. Now she Gets to Be There!!!!! I am sad for all of you to go through this time of letting her go, but so glad for her, no more sickness, no pain.... only total Joy and Life in Jesus Christ her Lord. I loved her very much. We will be praying for ya'll and will send a Memorial to The Summit Church. Love you all, Harlene
