Jake Young, 86, of Mountain View, AR passed away August 27, 2016, at Mountain View. Jake was born July 17, 1930 in Dewitt, Arkansas to Jim and Marie Johnson Young.
Jake was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountain View.
Jake is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie Stokes Young; granddaughter, Clancey Ferguson Stewart and husband Kelly Stewart; sister, Jodi Carter and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Marie Young; son, Duke Aaron Young; daughter, Babbie Ferguson; sister, Barbara Long and brothers, Mose Young and James Young.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2016, from 1:00-2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Mountain View. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, Mountain View, Arkansas, with Brother Ray Brown officiating.
Arrangements are by Roller Coffman Funeral Home of Mountain View, Arkansas.

While not a very close friend of Jake I knew he and his immediate family well. Had the pleasure of attending school with him and his attractive sister Barbara Jean and on two occasions quail hunted and crappie fished with Jake. His father, Jim, did carpentry work for my father. I will miss his engaging smile.

My condolences to the family. Though the sting of death is very painful, know that God (Psalms 83:13) promises to remove that sting of death forever. He also promises to resurrect our dead loved ones back to life in the near future. May this message of hope comfort all of you during this difficult times. (Isaiah 25:8; Acts 24:15).
