We did not know your loved one, Cody, but we have borne the grief of losing a son and we can encourage you that as time passes you will be able to remember more of the good times with Cody and dwell less on your loss.
We found that each person grieves in a different way and at different times, so we encourage you and your family to allow for those differences in the coming days.
We are of the Christian faith and even in our pain we came to understand that God is still sovereign. May you find comfort as you walk through this “valley of the shadow of death” and may friends share their good memories of Cody with you
