Lorene Ott, age 94, of Huntsville, Alabama and formerly of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 in Huntsville, Alabama.
Mrs. Ott was born February 23, 1922 in Flippin, Arkansas to the late Harles J. and Vida (Hall) Hogsed. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a homemaker and a member of Flippin Christian Church where she sang in the choir and was the church secretary for 23 years. She married her husband, Charles W. Ott on March 3, 1941 and he preceded her in death July 30, 2008.
Lorene is survived by two sons: Jerry Ott(Marie Boney) of Stuart, Florida;
Dr. Don Ott and his wife, Johniece of Russellville, Arkansas;
her daughter, Rita Strain and her husband, Mel, of Huntsville, Alabama;
seven grandchildren; a
nd four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
her husband; one granddaughter, Lynnell Nolan:
two brothers: Donald and Clifton;
three sisters: Louvenia Pace; Fleeta McDonald; and Florene Johnson.
Visitation for Mrs. Ott will be 5:00 '''' 7:00 pm Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, August 26, 2016 at Flippin Christian Church in Flippin, Arkansas with Dr. Don Ott and Dr. Mel Strain officiating.
Interment will be at Flippin Cemetery in Flippin, Arkansas.
