Just learning of her death. Prayers for comfort for your family. She was fun to be around. I always called her "Ms Sugar" and think that sounded funny. She was beautiful inside and out.

Sugar and my mother, and by extension, I, were such good friends for a lot of years. I lost track of Sugar after my mother died, and am saddened to learn of her death now. She was special. She was the mother of my first boyfriend! Love to you, Bobby, in your loss of Sugar.

Dear Bobby,

Your momma was my momma's best friend and I spent many days and nights at Sugar's house listening to their stories and laughter. She was always interested in use kids as individuals and even hosted my sister's wedding in her home. We all loved your sweet momma. She has been on my mind lately and now I know why. God wanted me to reflect on this dear lady and her legacy to my family of kindness, exceptence, love and sacrifice. I loved her when I was a little girl and thought she was so beautiful she must be a princess. I still love her and cherish her memories.
I grieve with you, Bobby. I will pray for you as you go through this time of sorrow.
blessings,
Jo Hunt

Sugar has always and will continue to hold a special place in our hearts. We loved her for many reasons, but first of all because she loved us and told us. She was a beautiful, kind, gracious Southern lady. Never a time passed that she would not find a way to help someone, and that included us. We loved her laugh, her positive attitude, her strong faith, and the compassion she showed for those she loved. She was the epitome of a lady, a friend, and a Christian. On top of all of that was a lady who knew how to have fun and enjoy the life she had been given. The earth has lost a beautiful soul but heaven has gained an angel of all angels. We love you, Sugar.

I was very fortunate to have Sugar Jones as my Grandmother. She was first and foremost a lady of Faith that stood for her Christ and followed him in her day to day life. Sugar was a strong woman that showed her transparency of who she was and what she stood for. A woman that would not bend against her morals and values. She was someone who would look you in the eye and listen to what you had to say. Be ready, because she would also tell you how she felt. I was always drawn towards her smile and laugh. It was one of the comforts of my life. Sugar Jones never cut corners no matter if it was organizing a drawer in her kitchen or helping out her community. As life has passed me by I have become aware of some of these traits that I have inherited from this beautiful lady. I can only pray to be half the person she was for our Lord, her community, her friends, and her family. She was an example of a life that has become non existent within the busy culture we have become as a nation. I pray that she is now reunited with the love of her life. I pray that one day I will know her again and that we will hold hands and praise the Glory of our Lord together forever. Amen
