Junior Doggett, devoted husband, father, brother and ''Pee Paw'' peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 14, in Allen, TX.

Junior was 96 years young and leaves to cherish his memory, his sons: Stanley Doggett (Sandra) and David both of Conway, and daughter, Terri Eck (Bo) of Fairview, TX; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Adelina, daughter, Elizabeth and son, Michael.

Junior was born November 9, 1919 in Proctor, TX to the late M.L. and Julia Mae Doggett. He was the youngest of 7 children.
He graduated from Comyn High School in Texas. Following high school he attended college on a football scholarship, then went to California to work with his brother during the Great Depression. While there he met the love of his life. Junior proudly served in the Army in the European Theatre during WWII. Following the war he worked side by side with Adelina as they farmed in Texas, then in Arkansas. They were owners of Doggett Milling in Guy then settled in Conway and established Doggett Leasing Company.

I am so sorry this so late but I just seen Mr. Doggett's obituary as i was searching for another.. I was shocked when I saw his name and picture cause I had not heard or read of his passing. I am sorry for the family for their loss of their father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. But we also rejoice that he has ended this journey of life and begun an eternal life without any pain or suffering as there was here .. I loved being a part of this family and Mr. Doggett always made you feel welcome and i could sit and listen to his stories for hours. The best part about his stories they were true life that he had lived through to tell. He will be missed but will never be forgotten. R.I.P.

Although this Posting is late, I just wanted to express my great sadness in learning of Juniors passing. He and Adelina were two of the Best bosses I ever drove for. When I came to town they were more like family that employers. If I had to lay over in Conway I was not allowed to stay in a motel, Junior and Adelina insisted I stay with them in their spare bed room. He will be missed but as Stanley told me he is now with the love of his life again. He and Adelina will both be missed but NEVER forgotten. My condolences to Stanley, David and Terry and all the Grand Children. I love you all.

I have worked and been friends with Mr. Doggett's grandson Chris for a long time and I remember a lot of the stories he would tell about his grandpa's life. Chris was proud of him and it was obvious how much respect he had for him. Mr. Junior Doggett exemplified the attributes and character of the "Greatest Generation!"

I am saddened to hear of Junior's passing. I haven't see him in a few years but always enjoyed visiting with him when I could. I had the opportunity to have breakfast with him many times at the Sale Barn Cafe, and he could always maie everyone at the table laugh. God Bless you ole' friend and I look forward to seeing you again one day and experiencing your wit and many jokes! My deepest sympathy to the Doggett family. Romans 8:28
