Dr. Travis Ray Payne, age 72, of Texarkana, TX passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. He was born in Memphis, TN on July 17, 1944 to the late Homer and Eunice Tidwell Payne. He was a retired minister from South Texarkana Baptist Church and founder and retired minister for Trucker's Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne "Jodie" Payne, one son Brian Anthony Payne and one daughter Belinda Payne.
Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Kevin and Shelby Payne and Rodney Guy and Amanda Payne, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday August 18, 2016 at South Texarkana Baptist Church, 409 S. State Line Ave., Texarkana, AR 71854 with Bro. Ken Easley officiating under the direction of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton, AR (501-315-4047). Interment will follow East Memorial Gardens in Texarkana.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church.

Bro. Travis was always so kind to me and Lynn, Love him and Jodie - miss them, but Heaven awaits and I sure cannot hardly wait to see them and all family and friends, someday soon , Our love and prayers for all his family <3 To be comforted during this time <3
