Velma Sims Griffin, 92, of West Memphis, AR passed away June 30, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah Sims; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, C.L. Griffin of West Memphis, AR; her sons, Rick Griffin (Terri) of Olive Branch, MS, Ronnie Griffin (Pam) of Oakland, TN; 6 grandchildren, Sarah Naylor (Nick), Hannah Williams (Brett), Barak Griffin, Jonathan Griffin (Valerie), Elizabeth Griffin, Matthew Griffin; 6 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Thelma Ferguson of West Memphis, AR.
Memorials may be made to the West Memphis First Baptist Church or to the Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN.

We wish to extend our condolences to the family at this time. May you be comforted by the promise of the resurrection and the knowledge that soon death will be no more and never again will we have to bury our loved ones. God makes this wonderful promise to is at Isaiah 25:8 where it states that he will "swallow up death forever." I hope you find solace in these words.
