Darlene Adams Gentry, 89, formerly of Searcy passed away June 20, 2016. She was born August 1, 1926 in Pangburn, Arkansas to the late Doc and Sinda Adams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William E. Gentry, two sisters and one brother.
Mrs. Gentry was a member of First Baptist Church in Searcy. She retired from Southwestern Bell after 34 years of faithful service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her children Bill Gentry (Ann) of Van Buren, Arkansas, Karen Gentry Parrish (Harvey) of Greenville, Mississippi and Darron Gentry of Memphis, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Scott and Craig Gentry, Layne and Will Parrish; 3 great grandchildren, Riley, Thomas and Emerson Gentry; two sisters, Mildred Holland and Ne'll Shelton both of Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Searcy with Bro. David Crouch officiating. Interment will follow in the White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

So sorry about Darlene. She worked with my mother Vivian who passed a couple of years ago,for many years at the telephone co. So many great and funny stories told over the years. She will be remembered.
