We loved you and know you will be missed.
We have fond memories of Lois, Javan, Radine, Lish, & Ruth & all the extended family. Mary was always a ray of sunshine & joyful to be around. We know that she is at home. She didn't leave home she went home. Our hope is to meet all our loved ones some day in Heaven. God Bless to all of the family. In Christian love.
Dear sweet Shock family,
What a great loss for you and a great victory for Mary. She was such a trooper and a great example for all of us. Your family is very special, and I cherish the relationships we share. I pray that you will feel God's loving arms around you as you are greeted and embraced by the Christian friends who will see you and send their love. Losing a sibling is tough. I have no idea how those who have no loving Christian family make it through such times. Thank God you will never have to know that experience. Much love in Him.

Mary was such a great influence on my life. I graduated with my BSW in 1982. She was not only my teacher but also my friend. My prayers are with her family as they face this loss.
Mary was a sweet , kind and caring Christian. She will be missed.
I met Mary two years ago, as we were both on dialysis. She was very friendly and open and we would exchange regards at each treatment. I noticed that she wasn't feeling well the last few weeks but was so sad to see the red flowers in her seat today. 😢
Mary was an inspiration to us all and my heart always smiled when I saw her. RIP Sweet Mary
Mary Shock was a game changer! I graduated from Harding in 1982 with a BSW. Mary Shock was inspiring and realistic, she believed she could prepare us for a life of service and did. She thought that people in difficult circumstances, whether self caused or not deserved our best. Many days I've wished she could see all of us she taught, working from her investment in us. Oh I wish I could speak at her service, there are so many great Mary Shock stories. She adored you brothers....about 5 years ago I went out to her home for a visit, I loved her! Mary Shock was at her best when people were at their worst.
All my love and sympathy to Jay and his family and to Jack and all of Mary's relatives. I remember her as a teenager: funny, talented, happy, thoughtful. She was a good friend throughout our "growing up" years and we shared a lot of adventures together. All of us will miss her--she touched the hearts of many people. Gone too soon......
What a difference she made in my life. I got my BSW in 1982. She was a great mentor. I'm sorry for those who are left to mourn her

Mary was one of the first cousins I met after marrying Jim. She was always so thoughtful, asking about me, my family, and interests. It saddens me to think about the difficult life she's had these last few years.
