Donald Craig Atkisson, 54, of Conway passed from this life on Monday, June 6, 2016. He was born Wednesday, January 3, 1962 in Kokomo, Indiana to Don Manuel and Annie Lee Pate Atkisson. Donald was a member of the Church of Christ. He loved bowling, hunting and fishing but his greatest passion was spending time with his family. He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1980 and retired from Virco after more than 27 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years Patty Nicholson Atkisson, son Stephen Hanna (Randi) of Michigan, daughters Jessica Wendel (Michael) of Conway, Christina Atkisson of Conway, grandchildren Stephanie and Emily Hanna. Other survivors include sisters Betty Anderson (Jerry) and Carolyn Moore (Kenneth) both of Indiana, biological mother Rose Lawson of Illinois along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10am, Friday June 10, 2016 in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Interment will follow at Brown Cemetery in Enola. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Michael Wendel, Jimmy Crow, Joseph Lee, Tim Marquand, Chris Patton and Doug Anderson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Weser, Doug Palmer and Gary Waits.
