of Mabelvale, AR

August 25, 1930 - June 3, 2016

Daulton Odis Hutson of Mabelvale, Arkansas, died at age 85 on June 3, 2016. Daulton was born on August 25, 1930 in Appleby, Texas to Odis Franklin Hutson and Willie Mae Morton Hutson. As a child, his family moved to Houston, Texas where he developed his love of sports - especially baseball. At the age of 20, Daulton joined the Navy. While on military leave with a navy friend, he met a young woman - Elizabeth Lamerle Christopher.

After a short courtship, Daulton had to return to duty after which, he was transferred to the Panama Canal Zone. After a long distance relationship, he asked Elizabeth to come to Panama where they were married on January 30, 1953. This young couple started missionary work in Panama. Their first child was born in Panama, and several months later, they left the Navy and returned to Houston. Daulton attended seminary at Gulf Coast Bible College. He went on to pastor churches in Conroe, Texas; Corpus Christi, Texas; Oak Grove, Louisiana; Sand Springs, Oklahoma; and Little Rock, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth (Christopher) Hutson; four of his five children, Ruth Foggo and husband Sidney Foggo of Alexander, Pat Bruner and husband Fred Bruner of Casper Wyoming, Linda Hutson of Conway, and James Hutson and wife Betsy Hutson of Heber Springs; his eight grandchildren, JoAnn Hollingsworth, Taylor Edmondson, Kevin Hutson, Cody Hutson, Jennifer Kyle, Julie Bruner, Jacob Witkowski, and Alex Witkowski; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Hutson, and his oldest son Carl Hutson.

Visitation with the family will be at the Roller Drummond Funeral Home chapel on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at John 5:28,29
(28). "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice (29) and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment".
